Very interesting video, explains how to work on the petrol start engine. In the UK we had the BMD with a direct start diesel, your engine runs smoother.

My Dad used to use that "flat chain tool" as a backside hand flattening anvil when we replaced lost rivets on the cycle bar mower. It was a handy thing to have around for sure.

off topic, but Pete grow potatoes, Idaho is withholding water from 500k acres of all ready planted out potato fields. the governor told the farms if they water the crops, they will have fines and law suits. you have acreage and room to plant, u won’t starve.

What I like, is the fact he is living in a house and on land that had belonged to his family for such a long time. There is a connection. I live in a house which was my parents country retreat for 50+ years. My daughters spend their summers and many other vacations there and they are both truly attached to the house because there is a bond. Its wonderful to have roots

Love your videos and your insights. Enjoy your videos for rebuilding/fixing tractors. I have an older IH 1086 myself that needs some work.. I had a vegetable market garden for 16 years and everything is a lot of work. You do inspire me to keep thinking ahead. Thank you. Almost reitired as well :)

I also read the ag school research on soil compaction remedies from e.g. Texas A&M and came to the same conclusion. There's no good evidence that ripping, plugging or discing work. The only thing to do is help the soil critters make new topsoil. Thx for the videos.
